Where to Ask for Records

For a current Newaygo County jail-status question, start with the Sheriff. The jail operates around the clock, while administrative inquiries are handled during the posted weekday office periods.

A written booking-photo or release-record request goes through the Newaygo County FOIA Coordinator. Use the online request form, call 231-689-7234, fax 231-689-7205, or write to Newaygo County Administration, 1087 Newell Street, P.O. Box 885, White Cloud, MI 49349. For public state-supervision questions, the Newaygo County Parole and Probation Office is at 1018 Newell, P.O. Box 707, White Cloud, MI 49349-0707, and its telephone number is 231-689-7250. Michigan Parole Board staff can be reached at 517-373-0270 or Parole-Board-Staff@michigan.gov during the posted Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. business hours.
